Sky, Moose + Grizzly - Phoenix, AZ Pet Photographer

If there’s one thing that instantly makes my heart melt, it’s tiny, fluffy dogs with big personalities—and this session with Sky, Moose, and Grizzly - three Mini Australian Shepherds - was exactly that.

These pups were soooo small, it was almost unreal. All fluff, huge bright eyes, and stumpy tails, they somehow managed to be both impossibly cute and incredibly well-behaved. From the moment we started, they were ready to play, pose, and soak up every bit of attention.

We met at sunset in Papago Park, surrounded by those iconic red rocks and the kind of sparkly backlight that photographers dream about. The sun dipped low behind us, wrapping everything in warm, glowing light and giving the images that soft, golden magic. Against the desert backdrop, their fluffy coats practically glowed.

There was lots of ball chasing, running around, and cuddle breaks. They’d sprint after a toy one second and then pile in close the next, perfectly content to be scooped up and kissed.

I loved this session so much that one of the images now lives front and center as the main image on my website, and my Coffee Table Book sample is pulled straight from this shoot.

Small, fluffy, adorable, and full of love—this Mini Aussie trio absolutely stole the show, and I’m still smiling every time I see their photos.
