Lacy
Lacy's photo shoot was the best kind of Angel Session. She wasn't leaving this Earth. In fact, she was about to go off to her forever home as a service and protection dog. Her mom and trainer of four years wanted to document the love she has for this amazing dog before her very hard goodbye just days after our shoot. That was four years of teaching, practicing, perfecting skills. Oh, and that came with a huge side of compassion and love. And I could see why right away... Karma
I tell you what. I think dogs are absolutely gorgeous and special animals. However, Karma here knows he's extra fabulous! He is a German Shorthair Pointer that can frequently be seen in the show ring. In fact, after our session together, I went to one of his shows and he won Best of Breed right then and there! Right?!?!?!
Karma's mom spends a great deal of time with him...working on structure, core, agility, etc. She taught me so much during our chats and I feel... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Rylee, Chloe, and Zoey
It is such an honor to have a client come back to use my services again. It means more to me than anything and I can't thank my repeat clients enough. It's especially meaningful when the main goal of the repeat session is to announce a major event in their lives!
I photographed Rylee, Chloe, and Zoey's a couple years ago. Since then, their parents have gotten married and...wait for it... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Simba
Ooooooh, Simba. You are such a handsome happy-faced boy!
Simba's session took place on a very hot day (like there have been any cool ones lately?). But as long as I had his toy, he wasn't walking away to go inside to cool off. Haha! In fact, we had to hide his toy a couple times just so he would go in to take a break!
This bouncy boy loved running around his backyard, giving me smiles, and chasing his beloved toy. Some of the action shots were cracking me up with his... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Scooter, Daisy, Birdie and Lucy
When I think of some of the biggest animal advocates in the Charlotte, NC area, Dr. Rostan of Charlotte Skin and Laser is one of the first that enter my mind. She does so much for the Humane Society of Charlotte and pets throughout our area. It is an honor to know her. (She also does amazing work on people's skin!!)
Beach Sessions!
Nothing brings a smile to your face like your dog bouncing along and exploring the beach. Now is your opportunity to capture that with amazing images that you'll treasure forever!
I'm so excited to announce that Pet Portrait Beach Sessions are now booking! 2015 brings a new location - Folly Beach, SC. It's super dog-friendly, beautiful and just a short drive from Charlotte. A limited number of sessions are available from... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Graeme
So my dream when I die would be to come back as this pup right here. Graeme was adopted from the Humane Society of Charlotte by a seriously sweet couple from England. I imagined him (over the years) picking up on their English accent and using that voice as he ushered me in his house, showed me around his lovely pool, and spoke to me in that way that dogs do. To me, he's so prime and proper but, in reality, he likes to... (click on the image above to continue reading)
Murphy
A fluffy, goofy, energetic ball of fur. Yup. That about sums up Murphy, a sweet little rescue that was found matted, sick, and heartworm positive. He was nursed back to health by some wonderful vets and placed in a home full of love, treats, and lots of toys. And per Murphy, they better be cloth or fabric toys...non of that rubber nonsense. Haha!
For our shoot, we hung out in his domain...a nice fenced-in yard where he is...(click on the image above to continue reading)
