time to Get ready

Follow these tips to have the best shoot ever!

  • A happy golden retriever puppy lying on a white surface, facing the camera with its tongue out.

    Prep your space

Be sure you have a 10’ x 10’ space clear of carpet, rugs, and furniture. This will ensure quick setup and more time behind the camera with your model!

  • Close-up of a slender dog with tan and white fur, large ears, and expressive eyes, standing against a plain background.

If needed, get your pup groomed

You’ll want your furbaby looking gorgeous from head to tail! Don’t forget a bath, hair cut (especially around the eyes for the fluffers), and nail trim.

  • A cute, brown and white puppy lying down on a white background, looking directly at the camera.

    Begin practicing a "stay" command

A little training goes a long way but please don’t worry if they don’t master it! Definitely NOT required!

  • A happy mixed-breed dog with black, brown, and white fur, sitting against a plain gray background.

    Gather your pet's goodies

Collect any toys, props, or treats you want in your images. We’ll rotate them in during the shoot.

  • Brown and black dog with a white patch on its chest, sitting on a plain, light-colored background, licking its nose.

    Take the edge off

If your dog is on the super hyper side, please take him/her on a walk before our shoot. No need for full exhaustion though! Just get some of the extra energy out.

  • Close-up of a black and white cat with yellow eyes, pink nose, and white fur on chest against a plain gray background.

    Strip down your doggy

Yep, you read correctly! I like to photograph pets without collars or harnesses. Your pet gets to be free! However, this is your session and if you prefer collars on, totally fine by me!

  • A cute black, white, and gray fluffy dog with curly fur sitting against a plain background, with bubbles floating around, and sticking its tongue out.

    Relax and have fun

Big inhales and exhales. Animals pick up on our vibes so bring a calm and chill energy.

What to expect

During the session

  • I’ll show up to your location and take about 20-30 minutes to set up the studio.

  • I’ll slowly introduce myself to your pet and allow him/her to warm up to the flash of the lights, the sounds of the camera, and the feel of the background paper.

  • Once everyone is comfortable, we start clickin’ away! I’ll use treats, props, squeaks, toys, and anything else we need to get those killer shots!

  • You are welcome to hang out and watch! Patience is key so be ready to bring positive, fun energy.

  • Once we wrap, I pack up all the gear, give some fur-kisses, and get out of your hair!

after the session

  • Expect a tired pet from all the modeling he/she did!

  • You’ll receive a follow-up email containing a link to schedule your image reveal/artwork consultation.

  • Over the next several days, your images are meticulously edited - colors are corrected, leashes vanish, eye boogers disappear, etc.

  • We’ll meet in person or over Zoom for the big image reveal!!!! Woohoo! You get to see your images, check out all the fun samples of artwork, and place your order.

  • After our meeting, you will receive a link to a 14-day online gallery. The online gallery is for viewing and sharing your images with family and friends!

  • If any artwork proofs are required, you’ll get an email with the details. Otherwise, your custom artwork will be ready in 2-4 weeks!!

  • Enjoy all of your goodies!!!
